Reduce Power Mode?

I have a 2014 Ford Fusion SE with the 1.5L engine. My wife was driving it to the store, and on the way back, the dashboard displayed a warning: "Engine Coolant Over Temperature." Shortly after that, the car stopped accelerating, which I believe was due to Reduced Power Mode activating.

We had the car towed home. The next day, I replaced the coolant temperature sensor and started the car, but it still seems to be stuck in Reduced Power Mode. Any reason why the car is still in Reduced Power Mode.

Yes, the car is in limp mode, can I ask if you could hear the cooling fan running while you were getting this warning? If not this will be the problem. Also is the system full of coolant? I would check it when the engine is cold. We need more information to help you. Please go over these guides to get us started.

The engine is cold (the car has been sitting for three days). The system coolant is full. Immediately when I start the engine, I hear the cooling fans running, I get the message "Engine Coolant Overtemperature". I already replaced the Coolant temperature sensor.
