A friend of mine bought this car and asked if I could look at the suspension. After getting under the car I noticed that the compressor and levelers on each side have been removed. I'm looking to put straight gas shocks in because the cost of replacing those components is too costly.

Hello.

This is a fairly common situation on older vehicles with factory air ride systems. There are several aftermarket companies that offer conversion kits to switch the vehicle to a standard style suspension system. From what I can tell, the rear of this particular vehicle would require new shocks, springs and a resistor to install in place of the electronic shock connector. A quick Google search of "cadillac seville air suspension conversion" should help you find what you need.

Good morning.

Take a look at the link below. This conversion product is designed specifically for your vehicle. I am by no means endorsing this product, just trying to get you pointed in the right direction. 2CarPros has no affiliation with any component manufacturer or aftermarket parts supply companies.
