I had to have my car fixed the lower control arm went bad. My car never had a problem starting ever. It is a 1990 caddilac seville v8 4.5 about 120 some thousand miles on it, it has a optima battery in it. I never ever had a problem starting it. The company sends the tow truck to get it I had to start it up to pull it out the yard (it started then) they take it to the shop repair the lower control arm and now my car wont start. Mind you they moved it in and out of the shop to fix on it. The day I go to pick it up it does not start they say it ran out of gas and they had it on the battery charger all day. Now my car does not start. They tell us to go buy a fuel filter it's a ten minute problem and he will fix it for free. I towed it out of there and need to know if it sounds like the fuel filter. If you pour gas on the carb it starts but wont stay running it makes the sound as if it clicks clicks clicks please help if you can

If the car run out of gas all the dirt sitting at the bottom of the tank will get sucked out

and the job of the filter is to catch it and not to allows it throw to the engine .

By you putting gas in the TBI you are bypassing the fuel system

you should change the filter

fuel filter is a cheep fix

but if its the fuel pump that’s more money

good luck
