Random oil leak

When it leaks can you check the color of the oil and report back?

Engine oil will be a blackish golden color depending when it was last changed and power steering and transmission fluids are generally red.

Take some pictures if you can and we will help you identify the oil type.

Have you jacked up the vehicle and visually inspected for leaks?

Be very careful when getting underneath a raised vehicle, you must ensure it is supported safely.

If you are not comfortable doing this a shop will not charge much just to put it on a hoist and do a visual inspection for leak.

If you find a suspect area send some picture and we will try and work you through what is causing the leak.

From the color it sounds like an engine oil leak.

You will have to visually inspect and let us know the area of the leak for us to narrow this down further. Pictures will help if you can include these that would be great.
