New here really need help. The fan would randomly stay on to turn it off I would wiggle the switch and that was it. I bought the new radiator fan took it to mechanic to install now the fan stays on constantly. PCM was checked, cooling sensor checked, fuses checked. I did buy a new PCM but it didn't start the car that was returned. The mechanic tested the fan relay by using another one they ordered, and the fan stayed off which means it worked. So, I ordered a new one and that one is faulty! I am at the end of the line, and I know it's possibly something very small we are missing so if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it!

Are there any codes? Also the fan will stay on while the AC is going so keep that in mind. There is only the coolant sensor, PCM and fan motors/module so it sounds like you tried all of these, I would scan it for codes, this guide can help:

Most of the time when this happens it is the fan/module assembly, did you get a name brand replacement part like Motorcraft?

I would also check the fan assembly ground which is G103 left rear of engine compartment depending on engine size.

You can also use this guide to help check the ground.

Test the black or grey wire at the fan module. Please let us know what happens.

Thank you. I bought Ford Motorcraft OE Radiator cooling fan assembly from Ebay Motors with an exact fit for my vehicle. The shop I guess bought a more expensive one and tested it when the car turned on the fan did not. It stays on with the one I purchased. Since I bought it back in February but didn't install until recent the return policy does not cover a new one.
Will have done everything you are suggesting and will probably have to buy another lets see.

Sounds good, like I say there are not too many things it can be, check the ground for the fan as well.
