I have a pulley (I think?) That is wobbling during idle and I think when I drive. My AC quit working and my car kind of sputters mainly right after I get gas. I do not know if these two things are related, but here is what I would like to know:

What is the thing in the video, shaking?

Hello, I am Danny.

That is your crankshaft pulley that is wobbling. If the bolt holding that on is loose and comes off that could cause massive damage while driving if the pulley comes off. It is possible the pulley is out of round from wobbling like that. It is supposed to be press fit on so it should be extremely tight on the crankshaft. I would definitely have that looked at as soon as possible. The A/C not working would not be related. When is the last time you had refrigerant added? Do you notice if the A/C compressor is cycling? I have attached a tutorial for you to look at. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for using 2CarPros.

I assumed I needed a recharge as everything is cycling. I have dropped it off at the mechanic! I will let you know what is up!

I needed a new harmonic balancer, accessory drive belt idler pulley, two serpentine belts, alternator drive belt, engine damper. Both the alternator drive belt and engine damper are under labor and I can still hear it squeak.

Total: $644.00

Air conditioning needs to be recharged.

The problem was the wobbling. Yes it solved that, he basically replaced everything, but there is still that sound that sounds Like there is something wobbling. Maybe I am suppose to hear it run, but it seems kind of loud for when it runs idle. I can hear it inside the car.

I went through the drive through today, and while waiting with the car in drive, it seemed like my car was kind of jerking/rough idling while sitting there, once every so often. I could see mist coming up from the hood (maybe because it was raining out and kind of cold, kind of like your breath in the winter). I am paranoid and want my car fixed.
