Exhaust manifolds are bad there is a ticking noise and car has gotten louder and fumes are bad and previous mechanic welded clamps to exhaust to the frame of the car. I want to replace the whole thing from manifolds back.

Hi,

As far as the exhaust, prices will vary on parts, so that is a tough one to answer. If the entire system is being replaced (everything), it calls for 1.3 hours. So, the shop labor rate times 1.3 should provide a labor cost.

If you look below, I attached what I see when I look up parts and labor. The parts are no longer listed because Mazda no longer provides them. They will have to be aftermarket parts.

Let me know if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe

Hello, I'm Danny.

We are here to provide guides and responses to your questions however we cannot provide an accurate estimate of costs. Depending on the area you live and the shop you choose to do the work average shop labor runs around $100.00 an hour labor. Here is a tutorial showing how to remove and replace an exhaust system:

I hope your manifolds are still good as they are pricey from the Mazda dealer and might not be available aftermarket. I've attached a picture below of what Mazda charges for replacement exhaust manifolds. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
