Pressing the steering column sleeve and bearing

I depressed the bearing use a split bearing puller. Replaced the ignition switch. I cannot get the sleeve and bearing to press enough to get the steering wheel back on. I tried using the steering wheel bolt to tight and press the sleeve and bearing.

Hey Jc1way,

Sometimes what happens is the steering shaft gets pushed down into the column which it is suppose to do during a crash. You might need to force the shaft back upward to get the correct length to put things back together.
