The rocker switch for the driver's power window broke. I took it out to see if it could be repaired, and no, so I ordered a new master switch assembly. Upon trying to install it today, I noticed that 2 very small wires had broken at the clamp point (they were assembled using the crappy "pinch/blade" connectors). I'm not sure where they go so, I can fix them; the colors aren't in my Hayne's manual's wiring diagram. The drivers window is stuck down, so I tried to jump the terminals in the wiring harness, but blew a couple of fuses. Now, not only does the new switch not work, but the power side-view mirrors aren't working either. So, I think either another fuse/relay is blown too, but I don't know for sure. Any ideas on where to start checking for fixes to these two issues?

Thanks for the images. They must have had an alarm that rolled the windows up at one point. Here are the window wiring diagrams so you can so how the system works and which wires to jump the window motor with. This guide can help you test the connections:

Check out the images (below). Please let us know how it goes.

Thanks Ken. I was able to track down a blown fuse and get the new master switch mostly working again. I say mostly because the 'auto-down' and 'auto-up' feature doesn't work. I can hold the button and the window goes up/down just fine, but the auto doesn't. I've tried resetting the module a few times, but no luck. Is there something else I need to check, or could it be those broken wires?

That feature is integrated into the main window switch so a new switch should fix it. Please let us know what happens.

Hi Ken, as a follow up to this, I did some more checking on the new master switch I ordered. It was a cheap replacement from eBay, and it turns out that it's not capable of handling the 'auto-up/down' settings. Everything else works though, so until I can buy a genuine Honda part, I'll just leave it for now.

Sounds good, yep, the features matter. Once you get the part let me know.
