My power steering pump went out and then the power steering pump pulley broke which caused the serpentine belt to break. So I went and bought a new pump, pulley, and serpentine belt.I got the old pump and pulley off, but when it came time to put the new pulley on the new pump, my little brother put the pulley on backwards, when I went to get it off to put it on the right way, the pulley broke into a bunch of pieces. So now the medal piece that is in the middle of the pulley is all that is left but it is on the shaft of the new pump and it's on backwards so the power steering pump pulley puller wont work. So I don't know how to get it off of the shaft and I need to get it off so I can put the new pump in. And when I buy another new pulley I can put it on the pump and put everything back together to be able to drive the van.

Good morning,

You will need to take the pulley with the broken piece to a shop and have them remove it. They will need to split the piece on the shaft in order to remove it. They most likely will use a cutting blade powered by air to split the piece.

Make sure you use the installer tool or you could damage the new pump.
