Power steering stops working and then it starts working again on its own

My power steering goes out and miraculously returns on my car. It has been to the dealership four times they tested pump and rack they were fine they are now saying it may be the alternator. I think they are crazy never heard that before. Any suggestions?

Check belt and tensioner, both recommended replacement at 60,000 miles. If that does not cure it get back to us and make sure to let us know if it has hydro boost for brakes as bleed procedures differ. As it may have air in it.
