i have replaced the water pump and the thermoststat, but cant get the air out of the system.

Jack the front end of the vehicle up high and let the engine run till its hot with the radiator cap removed. If that isnt plausable sicne you may have a radiator without a cap you could loosen up the upper radiator hose and put a screwdriver in there and pry up on it to release some air.
