2003 Pontiac Sunfire installing a Subwoffer

HI there, I have an amp that I have wirted through the back speakers and I want to instal an subwoffer as well, I was wondering what fuse I should route the subwoffer through? The last time that I tried this I killed the battery so I am know that I need a fuse that the power gets cut when the engine is turned off can you help me please?

Are you using a aftermarket radio for this. If you are use the remote wire to turn on the remote wire for the sub

No I am using the original car stereo.
