Car is over heating after driving for about thirty minutes: I have had the thermostat replaced twice, the water pump was replaced a few months ago, the radiator hoses were replaced, coolant flush was done, then it still over heated and then I was told the gasket was blown and it was replaced as well and the head was planed and the fan is coming on. The gauge fluctuates all over the place it will be cool then you look down and its about to over heat then it goes down or sometimes it over heats. Now the mechanic is saying it may be the gauge itself I am out of money and frustrated!

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

Did you get the radiator cleaned & flow tested, often many radiator cores can still be blocked and you will have flow with a back flush but this may be insufficient for cooling efficiently under load, I would start with a radiator clean and flow test by a radiator repairer.
