2000 Pontiac Montana air flow changes

The air flow decreases from the vents when changing the temperature dial from cool to hot

There should be a difference when switching from cool to hot.

Mainly the air when on cool is compeltely bypassed and unchagned.

When turned to warm it is forced through the heater core thus causing the air to slow down.
