Hi Guys,
My car is stuck in the driveway, It starts up fine but when I try to shift I can go throgh all of the gears back and forth without any resistance, like there is nothing there - The wheels are currently locked as the car got stuck in "Park".

Fliud level is good, but the color of the fluid is very, very, light brown.

Just hoping for some help !

Thank you, take care

Chris

There is a cable that runs from your shifter to the transaxle. From your description of no resistance when you move the shifter, it sound like the cable is broken or came disconnected. Is your vehicle a floor shift or collum shift? Either way, locate where the cable connects to the transaxle and see if the lever on the transaxle moves when you move the shifter in the car.

I have encountered broken shift cables on GM vehicle of your platform a on a few occasions, it's not abnormal. The shifter sometime becomes "stiff" or requires more effort to shift before the cable breaks, but not always.

Just an Idea, check that out & let me know.

Thank you,

Dan
