WHILE REPLACING THE WHEEL BEARING ASSEMBLY I CANNOT GET THE NUT FOR THE AXEL BACK ON. IS THEIR ANYTHING I CAN DO BESIDE TRYING TO RETHREAD THE BOLT?

If the nut is bad, get a new one, if axle threads are bad, you can buy a die and rethread it.

If it was damaged when you bought it (axle) return it and get a replacement.
