I've had a lot of problems with this car. ALOT. Now its seems when you try to speed up at a distance rate it feels like the tires are slipping. Like its wet. But its dry.I just put new tires on it hoping that would fix it but it continues to do it. Could it any way be the tranmission?

Check fluid level in trans (engine running in Park). If low, fill to proper level.

If it still slips, you will have to take to trans shop for diagnosis, some shops are offering free diagnosis for a while.

So you think that when I speed up and it feels like I'm slipping on water during dry conditions that it's the tranmission and not something to do with wheels? It only does it when I'm going from a stop to start. It doesn't do it everytime.

Yes, if it feels like the tires are slipping (but they are not), then the transmision is slipping.

As I said, check fluid level in trans first, if low it can cause slippage, so fill to proper level. You should also go ahead and change trans filter and add fluid to fill back up. Look for any metal particals in trans pan magnets (magnets in bottom of trans pan to catch steel particals).

If it still slips, then get to trans shop. It could be a cable out of adjustment, but slipping is never a good sign and will only get worse.
