Tires and Wheels problem
2000 Pontiac Grand Prix Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I went to get my car aligned and the mechanic told me that he couldnt aligne my car because my front hub barriers were bad. I had brought my car in 2 months prior for the same thing ( my car was shaking and I asked to have my tires balanced and rotated because my car was not pulling and to check my alignment just in case they balanced and roated em) so I am goin out of town again so I brought my car in for the same thing. But this time mainly the alignment because it was shakin a lil more so I figured i'd go ahead and get an alignment, then he tell mes that my front hub barriers need to be replaced. I am more then upset because if that was the problem since I can in more then once for a similar problem. So what I want to know really is how do I know if I am not being pulled around cuz I am a female? It worries me not because I will be going out of time in a weeks time.

Ask the mechanic to show you the the wheel bearings are bad, have him show you on the car, a wheel bearing should have no play in the bearing, if it has play it needs to be replaced. Ask for proof, a bad wheel bearing will give a shake in the front end and will affect alignment, if they replace the wheel bearings ask for the old parts and take them to some one you trust to make sure, if they do not want to show you or give you the old parts then I would go somewhere else, if they have nothing to hide then they should be able to show and prove there bad. Post back with any other questions.
