Please help us figure out what the problems is with this car! Can't afford any major repairs so any help will be much appreciated.

The car starts but kills right away. This happened last year and resolved itself! I know this isn't much to go on but it's really all we've got. It starts fine but just kills right away, just won't stay started!

Hope you know some little, inexpensive trick!

Thanks in advance. E

Is Free cheap enough to get a donation?
Have you done a relearn on the pass-key?
GM PASS LOCK RELEARN- Ignition to "run" position, try to start and let key return to "run" position
Approx ten minutes security light will go off
Turn key "off" and wait 5 seconds
Repeat 2 more times for a total of 3 relearns.
Turn key off, then start it

Thanks guys for the info and hope my son can follow the step by step instructions! Not really a car guy! Anyway, appreciate the help more than you know and wish we could donate something but at this time not possible. Will remember you when we get some income, both husband and myself are unable to work because of health reasons, but I'm hoping to get some work on the computer at home.

So, again, thanks guys - you're the best and this site is invaluable and long overdue!
