I have been having problems with my key coming out of the ignition. This has been happening for a couple weeks but is getting worse. Sometimes if I let it sit for a little bit and go back out and try to get it out it would come out but that doesn't even work anymore. It will turn everything off but i'm having problems with my battery running down. Everyone tells me that has nothing to do with it but the battery is new. I've heard it could be a sensor in the brake pedal. I love love my car but i'm about to trade it off! I'm at wits end with this key situation and don't know what to do without having to shell out alot of money I don't have. We've have tried putting some kind of powder stuff in the ignition but that didn't help either. HELP HELP any suggestions is appreciated. Thanks, Keyless in Poplar Bluff, Mo

Hi there

I am having the same problem with my 2000 Grand Prix. If by chance you do find the problem, I would appreciate any advice you could give me on this subject. Mine also will not allow the shifter to come out of park until I push down on the security override. I changed the shifter, thinking that was the problem, but it's still the same.

My e-mail is lodo15@rogers. Com

Thanks
