The engine starts and idles fine when you accelerate
it dies

You will have to check fuel pressure with a mechanical gauge, pressure should hold for a few minutes after pump is off and when you "blip" throttle, pressure should go up a few psi.

Pressure should be 40-45psi, if below 25psi, it may idle but will not run under load.
