1995 Pontiac Grand Prix motors?

1995 Pontiac Grand Prix 4 cyl Automatic

My car needs new motor but I was wondering if there is any other type of vehicle you can get a motor out of that will bolt up right because none of the junk yards around where I live have a pontiac grand prix. Its a 3.1L

We always recommend a direct replacement because there always seems to be differences. However, the 3.1L was a common engine and used in many GM products. For example, Chevy Lumina. If you want to try crossing one, make sure to get the same year. And, Please keep in mind, I have no cross reference for this and there still may be differences.
