I am about to replace my radiator for the second time and was wondering after over heating at 240 degrees would I need to change the heads. There is no water in my oil its was changed recently and it is still good no milky color. I want to make sure the car shop isn't trying to scam me for headgaskets.

Hi there,

there are a number of tests that can be done to see if the head or gasket is causing a problem, the best test is called a head check, this is a simple chemical test to determine if there is exhaust gasses in the cooling system, if so then you do have a gasket problem.
