2001 Pontiac Grand Am/ 3.4L V6/62000 miles. I bought a new accessory drive belt to replace old one. But to remove old belt, there is a heavy aluminum mounting type bracket bolted between the engine and the body that must be removed. Does the engine have to be supported to remove this bracket safely? Please help with info. Thanks. : : P

Yes you'll need to support the engine before removing the mount. Find a stable place underneath the car to support the engine. Don't use the oil pan for support. Good luck on your repairs
