Every time my car comes to a stop and it idles, my car dies. It doesn't do anything else. It does start back up easily. Any thoughts?

Thank you for your donation.

You have an idle air control motor that controls the idle speed. If it is not working properly your engine will not idle properly.

The next time you come to a stop try to put the transmission in neutral and see if it does the same thing. If your transmission torque converter is staying engaged it would cause your engine to die.

Check to see if you have any check engine lights or trouble codes present or that have been logged. You can go to Pepboys or Autozone for a free scan.
