My timing chain broke at 188000 miles causing me
to replace the motor. The replacement motor now
has 80000 miles. Should I replace the timing chain
soon to prevent this from happening again? I have always used mobil 1 oil.

Your vehicle should be equipped with a timing belt, not a chain which should be replaced every 100k miles. A timing chain is made to last the duration of the life of the vehicle and does not have a specific time maintenance.
