When starting the car it appears everything is OK but then suddenly dies. The engine starts up after cranking just long enough for the dash lights to go off (after the initial light bulb check, the gages set to the accurate reading) then the car dies.

I can try again and it will start. Any thoiughts?

No blinking security light. (Not sure the security feature of the car is working at all.) When the car shuts down all the wanting lights come on. (Like when the key is in the on position without the car running.)
