I have a 1999 grand am gt that recently idles low, shakes when you push on the gas when at a stop. It starts fine, but once you put it in park, it all goes down hill. The spark plug wires and spark plugs were replaced, but it still does this wobble and shake crap. Help!

Hello, how long since a tuneup? Any codes? Some of the national brand autostores will check codes for free. You might clean the throttle-body, make sure the iac passages are clean. Check fuel pressure.

I forgot the codes, there were like 6 of them. Mainly misfires. But I changed the spark plugs, spark plug wires, and one of the distriubter caps. Now we think it may be the air control valve. I am going to go get one and replace it tomorrow. So wish me luck! I tried the mass air flow sensor, but it did not make a difference. We think it may be something to do with the air intake. How many different things are there to check? Im not a mechanic and my hubs is a tank mechanic. So we are plying the guessing game. But I AM determined to fix it. With or without physical help. Lol. I will take help on here though, pave me a road! Tell me where to look under my poor Roxy's hood! (My cars name is roxy.)

Hello, hope you got it fixed by now? Just about anything can cause a misfire, fuel--spark, whatever.
