I just got a 97 Grand Am and the Ignition sticks almost everytime I go to start it. I wiggle it and mess with it enough and it finally turns over usually takes about 2-3 minutes. I have a good idea that the cylinder needs to be changed but maybe I am missing a few steps in the trouble shooting process, I have already sprayed WD-40 in to try and loosen it up but it didnt work. If you have any tricks to save me some money and possibly fix this I would appreciate it. If there are any extra problems you think I might run into after changing the cylinder that info would be appreciated too. Thanks!

Hi, First Take A Good look At The Key, Is It worn out. If So Start With a New key. Have It Cut From A Good Not Worn Key. Most Of The time It's Just the key.

Hope This helps you,
Good luck
