1995 Pontiac Grand Am 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I Just replaced the intake gaskets (upper and lower) and I think I put everything back the right way. When I start the car it knocks really bad. Someone please help!

First check the oil for coolant contamination, it would be a milky chocolate color.

If oil is contaminated with coolant, then it has most likely stripped the oil film from the main bearings and you are hearing a bearing knock.
If contaminated, driain oil and run a magnet through it, looking for metal shavings.

If oil is OK (no coolant/shavings in oil) repost and we will go from there.
