1990 Pontiac Grand Am thumping noise

I have a 1990 grand am while driving I hear a thumping noise from the front end but when I turn right it stops till I straighten out again brother says its the strut hitting the sway bar do u think its this or something else?

If you can safely put it on ramps, that would keep weight on the front suspension, see if you can see anything? Can you move the stabilizer by hand, maybe it needs new bushings?

I would take a look at the CV Halfshaft. When the CV shaft goes the joint separates and you usually hear a thumping noise. Could very well be the problem.
