Engine Mechanical problem
1995 Pontiac Firebird 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

every time I go and try to start my car it takes about 4 to 5 cranks to get it started. Why is that? Now I checked the oil ( oil light is on but I got an oil change recently) and the engine check light go on and off. I put a new engine in it as well but still giving me problems. Really need your help. I really dont want to go to a mechanic.

Oil light coming on-check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge if normal replace the oil pressure switch abnormal could be the oil pump or engine bearings.

the engine check light go on and off. Scan the computer for code/s the CEL coming on means there's a problem within the engine management system.
