When the blinker switch is turned to either side it won't make the clicking sound it should.

Do the blinkers work at all? If not then I would change the flasher.

The blinkers work fine. The clicking sound is the only thing that won't work.

Some flashers have a distintive clicking sound when working and some don't, the flasher should be in a clip that holds it under the dash. That clip carries the sound of the flasher working so it is heard.
