1984 Pontiac Firebird V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual

I purchased a car with a GM crate 350 (Chevy engine part# 12496968). It gets an engine vibration starting at +/-3200 RPM and remains as you go up.
Does not matter which gear (1st-6th) or vehicle speed, only engine RPMs.

I have pulled and inspected the harmonic balancer. No visable cracks in the surface or the rubber. Sitting still, in netural at 3500RPM it makes no difference if the clutch is engaged or not.

Ideas?

I'm sure you checked the moter mounts, Pinging Knocking and shakeing under load (maybe high rpms) can accure when 1. Incorrect grade of fuel 2. Ignition timing incorrect 3. Carbon build-up in combusion chambers 4. Incorrect spark plugs 5. ESC system not functioning properly. I am more than likely way off. Got these out of the Haynes book, but at least you got a reply!
