I have a 1997 bonneville 3.8.I was driving on the freeway and the serpentine belt broke.I pulled off the freeway and parked asap and the temp was at like 280. So I got the new belt and replaced the belt and now the car wont start. It cranks over and tries to start just wont start. The guy at the auto parts store said it could be the crankshaft sensor or the module.I now where the module is I need to know where the crankshaft sensor is if any 1 could post a pic or any info it would be appreciated very much :). Ty and have a good thanksgiving week.

Mike if it's anything it would be the belt broke, and trust me when I tell ya, with a boatload of force, it may well have wiped out the crank sensor, maybe the cam sensor too. They are on the front of the engine. The crank sensor is of course by the crank, and the cam is? Bingo, at the cam! See if it knocked the lead off the crank sensor. If it did, maybe replace it if plugging it in again doesn't work. Let me know.

Thank you for ur fast reply it is very much appreciated.
And I have found the problem :) yay. The belt cut 1 of the wire's to the crank sensor lucky there is enough wire to be able to splice it back togather :).
