You will have to remove the door panel and inspect the window regulator it is most likely broken and that is why the window came off track.

CAN YOU SEND ME AN ILLUSTRATION OF THE ASSEMBLY INSIDE OF THE DOOR-i REALIZE THAT IT MIGHT BE BROKEN AS A MATTER OF FACT THE SMALL PLASTIC GUIDE IS BROKEN. CAN I GET JUST THE PLASTIC GUIDE WITHOUT BUYING THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY?

That's the only diagram i have for the window regulator. When stuff start's breaking on the window regulator's all you can really do is to replace the regulator they don't make many thing's these day's that are repairable. We live in a throw away world if you want to know where to get that regulator i will even give you my 5 percent discount code they gave from ordering from them i have bought a lot of stuff from them.

There is a GM product service bulletin about this problem. You can buy just the guide to repair without buying the whole regulator. Here is the P/N Front 15286776 and Rear 15286777

This is the exact problem I'm having too! I cannot find these service bulletins anywhere online or GM's website. I've contact GM, waiting for an answer. Next step I'll go into a dealership but was just wondering if you know where I can get this bulletin at? Thanks.
