1998 plymouth voyager 3.0L 130,000km

I recently bought a plymouth voyager and i'm now having a problem, everytime I get up between 60km/h and 80km/h the van seems to jerk or do a quick studder, could this be the transmission slipping? I had brought it back to the garage and had it checked out but they said they didnt feel anything and that what we could be feeling is something on those vans that actually locks for better gas mileage, Are we getting screwed over or could this actually be the problem?

I think your getting screwed of what! BUT, the trans converter could be locking up to late or unlocking at those speeds. Take it some where else and tell them what the other shop said. Sometimes they will fix the problem just to make the other shop look bad!
