I am looking to replace the fuel pump in a 1995 Plymouth Voyager with the 3.0L v6. I was told the fuel pump is in the gas tank. What is the best way to go about replacing the pump when it is in the tank? Is there some easy way to drain the fuel or do I have to siphon it out, and is there a specific way to drop the tank? Any help is appreciated.

Sorry about the late reply. There is no easy way, that I'm aware of. My info says there is a drain tube on left frame rail. You may have to siphon to empty the tank. If you don't have a lift, then a floor jack comes in handy to lower tank. Having a couple of helpers can be nice.

I have heard of people cutting a hole in trunk or floor pan above the pump, so they could remove it without dropping the tank. Then using a piece floor pan to cover the hole. I don't know if that would be applicable for your vehicle as far as cutting hole.
