I just had a new radiator put in my van, and the next day my windsheild wipers stopped working. I checked the fuses, and they were working before I dropped it off at the mechanic. Im affraid they will charge me for looking at it because its electrical and has nothing to do with the radiator, but after spending $600 hundred, I cant afford to take it back, and its supposed to rain tonight. If its not the fuse, what could it be?

Hi:
If the wipers stopped working, it could be a couple things. First, it could be the switch. Also, the motor may have gone bad.

Try to locate the wiper motor. It's on the firewall (under the hood) near top center. Take a test light, disconnect the motor electrical plug and check if there is power to any of the wires with the key and wipers on. If there is power, the motor is most likely bad. If no power is there, you will need to have the switch checked and most likely replaced.
