MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON I TOOK IT TO THE SHOP THE COULDNT RUN A TEST BECAUSE OF A SHORTAGE IN MY WIREING. IT MADE THE ENGINE HESITATE AND GRADUALLY BEGUN TO PICK UP SPEED

There could be a issue with the wiring at the drivers kickpanel area even back tward the sill plate I have found rotted wiring. Or if there tool couldnt scan at all it could be as simple as a blown lighter fuse, or bad lighter socket. Hope this might help in some way.
