Ok, so, my 99 breezes timing belt recently broke. Due to a water pump freeze in sub zero temps. I got a new water pump, timing belt, tensioner, idler, and because of an upgrade on the tensioner a new 3-piece timing cover. Installed by a proffesonal because I dont have the tool for working on this or much knowledge with timing. On this type of motor they said valves could be bent but since it was only ideling when it happened chances were small I was told. Got it back and they said it ran good no problems. But since then I have had a poor idle and it stumbles upon acceleration. Could this be a crankshaft sensor?Vaccum leak? Mass airflow sensor? Fuel injector? I also replaced spark plugs, fuel filter, and did an oil change just to rule out a few things. No oil leaking so I dont see it being head gasket. Thanks for your time and energy with this question. How do I check for fuel contamination? What do u mean by open spark plug wires? I replaced throttle sensor spark plugs. There was a code for a leak in the evap system but I cannot access it since I took the battery cable off and replaced it the code is gone. Another symptom is that the idle isn't consistent it is eratic and goes up and down. I appreciate the help. Still working on fix in this thing. Oh one more thing, how do I determine if the catalytic converter is bad?
