Engine knock when idling

Can has a knock only when idling and leaking something black under the van. Blows white smoke muffler is melting the back bumper.

Hello,

If your vehicle is blowing white smoke and it has a sweet smell to it than this is probably going to be coolant that is getting burned up in the combustion process of your vehicle's engine. The black stuff leaking underneath your vehicle will undoubtedly be oil, and if the muffler is melting the bumper then something has bent the exhaust up so that it is probably touching the bumper and will need to bent back down so it is not touching the bumper.
