2001 Peugeot 206 engine replacment

Ive been told my bottom end is gone, and need new engine, is it possible to put a bigger one in and what would I need to do this

Your easiest option would be to replace with a higher powered engine from another model 206 this way there would not be too much parts swapping etc.
