How do I find the new engine number?

I have just had the engine replaced on my 206 1.4 HDi (same size/capacity) how do I find the new engine number so I can update my V5 Document?

I can find the serial number on to the top part but not the lower block (serial number of the top part is 0889689296 I am guessing this isn't my engine number as my old engine number on started with fd)

It's a used engine but newer than 2003

Look in the same are that you found the number on your old engine.

Are you sure the motors are the same?
