Park brake light will not go off, I have checked the switch, if I take the plug off of the rear abs solenoid and jump the wires across the light will go out, is it possible to replace that solenoid on the abs, would that solve the problem? Thanks Mark

Good morning

Is the yellow ABS light on as well?

Can you post a picture of what you jumped?

No, the ABS light is not on, just the park brake light.

That is a very early model ABS system.

See if any of the parts stores can read the system for a fault. There should be a fault code stored that will help narrow the area of failure.

One thing you can try. Remove the connector for the level sensor in the brake fluid tank and jump it with a paper clip and see if the light goes out.

Yea, I have already tried jumping the level sensor also, I have a code reader and it is not pulling any codes.

A code reader will not read the needed information. You need a real scan tool that can access the ABS system.

Try a parts store and see if they can read it for you.
