Overheating

I started having an overheating issue so I replaced my thermostat sensor, thermostat and thermostat housing. Flushed and refilled the system using a hose. Refilled and bled the radiator. It only seemed to take under five liters of coolant. I drove the car around when the check engine light came on and the temperature gauge rose up. I am not sure what it could be other than a blocked radiator. Any help please. Corey.

I do not know why you assumed a thermostat was the original problem. That is not very common. At this point you likely still have air pockets in the system that need to be worked out. Once the system is completely full you need to pressure test the cooling system for leaks.
