My car has been over heating and going through coolant/antifreeze like no other. So we fixed the thermostat and it is still over heating and is now spitting the water out upon removal of the cap. I do not know what to do.

Is it leaking the coolant out? If its burning it you probably have bad head gaskets.

Have your coolant system pressure checked for leaks it will show either external or internal if internal. It may be head gasket.
