I drive a 1.6 Opel Vectra 2005. When I turned on the car a symbol came up to check oil. I check the oil stick and there was oil in. But I put more in and now when I drive smoke is coming out of the exhaust pipe. Is this from the oil or something else. Am I doing harm to the car by driving. What can I do to stop the smoke coming out of exhaust?
Please Help.

Right first thing is first if the oil level was on the maximum why the need the top it up with more engine oil. DONT WORRY! What you will need to do is simply remove the Engine oil that you have added and bring the level down to the maximum. Once you have done this hopefully the smoke will reduce not with the flick of the key allow the engine to idle and the smoke should clear after a short while.
