Hello,

Something doesn't sound right about this. So, the newly installed transmission isn't working? How many quarts of fluid did it take when you installed it? It sounds like there is not enough in it or the fluid isn't into all the places it needs to be. When you do an install of a transmission that has been drained you'll need to fill it up and run slowly through all the gears at an idle a bunch of times to get the fluid into all the solenoids and keep checking the level adding more till it starts to engage. It might take a few times, as many as ten, of running through the gears and adding more until it will start to work. Sounds to me that this is the issue. If you do this and it still does work think about calling where you got it from, Is it used from a junk yard? If so, you should probably call them back and return it.
I have attached a fluid capacity chart for it below.
Let us know what happens.
Tom
